WEEK 1 (August 25-29):

This week, I suggest you "pre-read" Chapter 1. Pre-reading is 'skimming' the chapter so you are aware of what we will be covering this week.  Keep in mind, many of these skills in chapter 1 are considered 'basic'.  It you don't agree with me, you MUST spend more time on them and get assistance next week!

WEEK 2 (Sept 2-5):

-Read Chapter 1

-Do more than just read!  Make sure you work through each "practice problem" with the chapter.  This is a good way to 'prime yourself' for the homework questions!

-You may skip may Section 1.5!

-Some of the Mastering Chemistry questions for the "Chapter 1" assignment (to be posted on Friday August 29th and due Sept. 7 by 9 pm) will come directly from the end-of-chapter problems.  You may want to work on these prior to logging on to do your homework.  These questions are:  1.38, 1.54, 1.62, 1.71, 1.91, 1.95, 1.114, 1.93 (extra credit).
