WEEK 1 (August 25-29):
Students must: 1) purchase the text book (Tro, 2008), 2) successfully register for the free on-line homework and tutoring "Mastering General Chemistry" access. For instructions, click HERE. 3) complete the HW assigned for this week (Sunday, August
31st by 9 pm)
WEEK 2 (Sept 2-5):
Students must: 1) Read Chapter 1 (see READING LIST webpage for exact details)...Make sure you work through each "practice problem" within the chapter...this is a good 'primer' for the homework questions! 2) Log onto "Mastering General Chemistry" and complete "CHAPTER 1 ASSIGNMENT" (Due Date: Sunday, Sept 7th by 9 pm). This assignment will be available to you on Friday, August 29 by 5 pm.
WEEK 3 (Sept 8-12): 1) Read Chapter 2 (see READING LIST webpage for exact details)...Make sure you work through each "practice problem" within the chapter...this is a good 'primer' for the homework questions! 2) Log onto "Mastering General Chemistry" and complete "CHAPTER 2 ASSIGNMENT" (Due Date: Sunday, Sept 14th by 9 pm). This assignment will be available to you on Tuesday, September 9th by noon. Some of the Mastering Chemistry questions for the "Chapter 2" assignment will come directly from the end-of-chapter problems. You may want to work on these prior to logging on to do your homework. These questions are: 2.56, 2.64, 2.78, 2.80, 2.83, 2.88, 2.106 (extra credit), and 2.25. NOTE: Some have randomized numbers...so if you are discussing a question with a friend, you may different numbers but the concepts to solve are the same! 3) Pre-Read Chapter 3

These questions are: 4.40, 4.78, 4.80, 4.98 WEEK 7 (Oct 6 to Oct 10): 1) Print out Class Notes for Chapter 5 (Part 1 and 2) for this week. WEEK 8 (Oct 13 to Oct 17): 1) Read Chapter 5 (all of it). WEEK 9 (Oct 20 to Oct 22): TEST 2 on Wednesday, October 22
TEST 2 "STUDY WITH A PEER TUTOR" SESSIONS WEEK 10 (Oct 27 to Oct 31): 1) Pre Read Chapter 6 2) Start "CHAPTER 6 ASSIGNMENT" (Due Date: Sunday, November 9 by 9 pm).
WEEK 11 (November 3 to November 7): 1) Continue to work on "CHAPTER
6 ASSIGNMENT" (Due Date: Sunday, November 9 by 9 pm). WEEK 12 (November 10 to November 14): IN CLASS ASSIGNMENT ON CHAPTER 7 on Friday November 14 WEEK 13 (November 17 to November 21): None! TEST 3 on Wednesday November 19th!!!!!!
WEEK 14 (November 23): None! NO CLASS ON WED NOVEMBER 26 HAPPY T-Day to ALL WEEK 15 (December 1 to 5): Last Assignment Due on December 7th by 9 pm.
