Re: A810, Thesis Project Research and Preparation (A&D) Fall ’02 Registration

If you wish to enroll in the "Thesis Project Option" for Design X next spring, you must submit a
‘thesis project proposal’ to the A&D office or via email by April 14, 2002. The proposal should
be addressed to the Dean's secretary, Kim Monticchio at monticchiok@philau.edu .

To be considered for "Thesis Project Research and Preparation" (A810) in Fall '02, your proposal
must include:

A two-page typed proposal covering the following:

   Page 1: Thesis topic, hypothesis, and brief argument in support of your position.

    Page 2: Bibliography citing a minimum of five sources pertinent to your thesis topic and
    a proposed course of study for the summer.

One design project that illustrates your design strengths.

One research paper from a course at Philadelphia University that exhibits your ability
to express ideas clearly in written form.

The Faculty Thesis Committee will review the proposals and notify students before pre-registration.

Thesis Project Research and Preparation and Design X--Thesis Project Option are not recommended for students
who expect to take an overload of courses (Fall ’02-Spring ’03). Both courses require an intense self-directed effort.
