This course is the first in a series of required courses for the
Fashion Design student.

| In the course you will learn how to use some of
the industrial machinery most |
| commonly found in a design room . In
addition there is an introduction to the |
| terminology most commonly used in the garment
industry. We will also asses |
| and implement the best methods for
assembling a garment based on cost, |
| fabrics involved and sequence of
operations. |
| Each student will create and maintain a sample
book as well as cutting and |
| sewing a muslin skirt, wool skirt and shirt. |
