Home Sequence of Operations Garment Structures Shirt Terminology

 

This course is the first in a series of required courses for the Fashion Design student. 

In the course you will learn how to use some of the industrial machinery most 
commonly found in a design room .  In addition there is an introduction to the
terminology most commonly used in the garment industry.  We will also asses 
and implement  the best methods for assembling a garment based on cost, 
fabrics involved and sequence of operations.  
Each student will create and maintain a sample book as well as cutting and 
sewing a muslin skirt, wool skirt and shirt.
