Why WebQuests?

Dr. Bernie Dodge and Tom Marsh of San Diego State University developed this format of inquiry to go beyond the read and recall of information. A WebQuest encourages participants to engage in challenging problems that reflect real-world complexity and to leverage prior knowledge and experience as they process information in a meaningful context. The problems are structured to be open to multiple interpretations and to provide opportunities for collaboration that reflect the social nature of learning. Slide Show
