A capstone experience

Contemporary Perspectives is the capstone course for the College Studies program, and it is the only course that all PhilaU seniors take in common.

This course will provide you with a survey of current world trends and issues, and allow you to consider some of the global challenges that you will soon be encountering in your chosen professional fields.

Contemporary Perspectives is writing- and research-intensive, to help you develop the communication and critical thinking skills necessary to adapt and succeed in today's rapidly-changing world.

This site is an introduction to the course and to its main writing assignment. It also showcases examples of outstanding student work from previous semesters.
