MGMT 310 - Organizational Behavior

This junior and senior level course is intended to provide each student with the skills needed to work within and manage complex modern organizations.  Specifically, we learn about the behaviors of individuals, teams, and organizations, and how managers can address each level to improve attainment of the business objectives.

The course includes an in-depth exploration of organizational behavior topics such as communication, group dynamics, group roles, team building, power and politics, leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, organizational culture and diversity.

As outcomes, the student will understand organizational behavior and its importance in organizations; develop their personal skills, including communications and team skills; and learn how to become an effective leader and manage conflict between and among individuals and within groups.
