A321 CAD I: Modeling
Project 2
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
For this project, you will choose one of the examples presented by your professor. You will create a complete set of drawings to represent that building. The detail of both the interior and exterior is essential to the understanding of the design intent of these buildings. Your choices of materials, views and methods of "making" become an important part of communicating the essence of the design.
Requirements:
AutoCAD file of the following:
3D model (.dwg)
AutoCAD files (.dwg) and laser prints exhibiting lineweights of the following:
Plan (2D drawing)
Elevation (2D drawing)
Section (2D drawing)
AccuRender files (.jpg) complete with an environment of the following:
1 exterior perspective
(.jpg)
2 interior perspectives
(.jpg)
1 plan view with the
roof frozen (.jpg)
Be prepared to present your work on the computer
to the class.
Submit your .dwg files and .jpg files on a super disk to your professor
Note: The 2D drawings are separate files from the 3D model.
(As per the syllabus, work submitted late may or may
not be accepted at the discretion of the professor. Late submittal of a project will
adversely affect the grade of the project.)
Evaluation Criteria:
Project 2 is evaluated based upon the following criteria:
effectiveness of 3D AutoCAD model, effectiveness of AccuRender images,
understanding of 2D drawings:
and completeness of documentation.
