JOURNAL OF TEACHING IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
Regular Feature: Digital Technology in Teaching International Business
Digital technology in teaching international business is a clearly a ‘hot’
topic and future issues of the Journal of
Teaching in International Business will have this as a regular feature.
Topics:
The special editor for JTIB is seeking short articles and reviews in the use of
digital technology in teaching in international business. Research, as well as
reviews of texts, simulations and other software, exercises, and new
technologies that facilitate or enhance the teaching and learning of
international business subjects are all acceptable topics. Descriptive works
that offer significant implications are also invited. Cross-cultural and
comparative studies that investigate long-distance or digitally enhanced
teaching techniques, whether synchronous or asynchronous, and research that
measures the usefulness, or describes the use of new technologies or techniques
that have been developed to improve learning, will be considered for
publication. Research foci included in this call for papers are those
related to:
 |
Teaching and learning efficacy |
 |
Outcomes assessment |
 |
Curriculum development |
 |
Electronic delivery systems |
 |
Digital teaching materials |
 |
Internet-enhanced classes |
In all cases, articles must emphasize the practical relevance of the issues
presented and must be written to appeal to academics, practitioners and policy
makers. The goal is to provide readers with thoughtful and provoking ideas that
can be implemented by academics and practitioners, and supported by policy
makers in government and international agencies.
General Guidelines:
Articles should be a maximum of ten pages in length, double-spaced, including
graphics and bibliography.
Papers should use the
American Psychological Association
(APA)* style guidelines and be double-spaced. In addition to the main body, submissions should include a title page, an abstract of
30-50 words on a separate page, and a one-page executive summary.
Contributor guidelines are to follow the traditional paper guidelines of the
journal, except with respect to length. These guidelines can be found in the
back section of each issue of the journal.
