About Everything International:
Everything International (Ev-In) is intended as an electronic library of resources for faculty, students, and practitioners in the field of international business.  A brief explanation of each of the pages associated with this site can be found in the Everything International site information page (Go there!).

Using the Everything International site does not require registration, nor are any 'cookies' placed on your computer.

Hyperlinks to public and private sources are listed; perceived usefulness being the only criteria used in selecting sites.  Since my background is international marketing, and my interests lie with macroenvironmental secondary data, the lists reflect those biases to some degree.  An attempt has been made to broaden the scope of recommended sites by including other functional areas.

The sites are evaluated carefully and those included are believed to contain accurate information. Please realize that even organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank include some inaccuracies because the data may be self-reported (i.e., the country data comes from the countries' own reports in some cases), because there are some political implications of reporting data (some data may be omitted, some countries may be classified as higher on the economic development ladder, etc.), and many other reasons.

Please check more than one resource, compare them, and if differences exist, look for explanations in the way data is collected, analyzed, or reported.  If reasons for the differences are not clear, consider contacting  representatives of the resource and request an explanation. Every attempt has been made to provide at least two different resources for much of the data. There are no guarantees that the data at these sites are accurate, but they are believed to be among the most accurate and least biased. Before purchasing fee-based services, compare types and amount of services, as well as prices among providers.

EI Site Commendations: In 2007 the site received a five-star rating (5 of 5) by Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) as an outstanding web-based teaching and learning resource; The Federation of International Trade Association (FITA), "Really Useful Site" Award, 2006; The Chronicle of Higher Education, November 28, 1997. Dryden Press, June 1997. Philadelphia Business Journal, August 15, 1997. Lycos' Top Ten International Trade site, Spring, 1999.

Performing Research:
When performing research, remember that problem identification and interpretation of the data are critical. The results are apt to be meaningless if either are performed inadequately. Be careful when using any data.  Whether statistics come from the Internet, or any other source, data is generally inaccurate to some degree.  Call on me for advice or assistance if you are having difficulties finding or using data.  Comments and suggestions are always welcome.
